To satisfy her passion for fashion, she kick started her career by first designing clothes for her own friends and family. Later around 1990, she launched her own studio and a label named ‘Lavanya’ where she designed an entire collection for the young damsels of the country and thus became profitable as well. She was even invited to the design curtain raiser ceremony of Olympics at Atlanta.

She also became the first designer to be placed and featured in Promostyl’s magazine ‘Acustyl’, which sums up the predictability of fads all over the world. This achievement of hers is completely owed to her dazzling sense of ‘Modus Vevendi’ (manner of one’s living defining one’s attitude).
