Cat walk- An Art of Walking

The 'catwalk' is the long, narrow platform that models use to walk during a fashion show. It is a raised pedestal that extends along the length of the room. The catwalk is compulsory for any fashion show, because it helps the audience to see the attire of the model clearly, despite being seated at the end of the room. The reason this platform is called the catwalk is because models need to walk very carefully on it, like a cat. Cats tread lightly, lithely and smoothly, without taking up too much space.  Since the model is expected to walk on the platform in such a manner, the platform came to be called a 'catwalk'. In some places, the catwalk also refers to the way a model walks.

Dedication Towards Fashion Industry

Fashion refers to the manner of doing something. Fashion also denotes style, a dress and hair and dealings with others. Among students, the word primarily conveys the sense with regard to ‘dress and hair styles.’ These days, students devote more time to fashions than to studies. Educational institutions and, particularly colleges, present the picture of film studios. As soon as a boy or a girl joins a college, there occurs a marvelous change in him or her. Simplicity takes wings and there comes ostentation in its place. Their gait is changed; their way of conversation assumes a different modulation and their behavior gets stricken with artificiality. They strut like peacocks and fly like butterflies.

These are all clothing tips that made me think “Why didn’t I think of that?!”. So, I thought I’d pass the wisdom on for other people that wear clothes. I figured there were a lot of you, so here we go! No more fat ankles!! Most of my jeans are boot cut or straight leg (guess I’m just not a skinny jean kind of girl). This poses a problem when it comes to wearing boots — not only does it make it hard to zip them up, but I’m sometimes left with bunched up fabric that is uncomfortable and unflattering! If you have a similar problem, here is a nice little trick to tucking those non-skinny jeans into your boots. This clever clothing trick not only keeps your bra strap concealed, but also keeps your w...
